GETTYSBURG TRIP – The CMS PTO is organizing the annual 8th grade field trip to Gettysburg, PA for May 17-18.  A deposit of $50.00 each is due NO LATER THAN Monday, February 6 for both students and chaperones.  Please be sure to include this completed form with your deposit. Attention 7th grade girls:

B-WISER (Buckeye Women In Science, Engineering and Research Institute) Science Camp is for 7th grade girls (those entering grade 8 in Fall 2017).  Camp is June 11-16, 2017.  Application must be postmarked by April 20.

B-WISER Goals:

  • Experience excitement, interest & motivation to learn about phenomena in the natural & physical world.
  • Build confidence to generate & understand concepts in science.
  • Participate in scientific activities & learning practices with others, using scientific language & tools.
  • Broaden knowledge of science-related careers
  • Plan to continue scientific education.
