Jordak Elementary is filled with a love of learning, lots of laughter, lifelong appreciation for literacy, and Huskie Pride in which all students are special and respected and have unique talents and interests that will take them far in their lives! Teachers and staff recognize hundreds of students each year for demonstrating Huskie PRIDE in the classroom, during lunch, on the playground, or on the bus.  PRIDE stands for:   Productive, Respectful, Involved, Determined, and Empathetic behaviors!

Each year our K-4 learning community partners with the Volunteers Program facilitated by the Geauga County JFS, as nearly 20 Volunteers assist our Huskie Pups and teachers in the classroom with all aspects of their learning.  Students are recognized and awarded for their successes in many ways by area affiliates throughout the school year including the Lake County Captains Reading Challenge, the Cavaliers and Westfield Insurance, Adventure Zone, and quarterly Academic Rallies.  Our Huskie Pups are also supported through our partnership with Family Pride’s Student Social Groups and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

We have a strong PTA at Jordak as this group of parents and teachers work tirelessly on a daily basis making sure that our students have everything they need to be successful academically and brighten the world of learning for everyone by providing teachers with many instructional needs and spending countless hours hosting the Scholastic Book Fairs, the Huntsburg Pumpkin Festival, field trips for K – 4, COSI assemblies, Holiday Headquarters, Grandparents Day, the Plant Sale, the 4th Grade Graduation Ceremony, Fun Day, and the Carnival!

We will continue to support our students’ experience with technology as additional Chromebooks will be available on the K-4 campus and our teachers will continue to guide their safe use as they become more independent digital natives. Twitter will be utilized to post upcoming events, PTA events, activities that happen on a daily basis in the classroom, notifications, and “Humble Brags” about the CLSD Huskie Pups and their teachers…..Follow us @JES_Huskies.

The staff and students of Jordak are looking forward to another exciting year!  Thank you Middlefield, Huntsburg, and Parkman parents and community members for your continuing support!  You are essential to our children’s success and you make academic excellence possible!  We appreciate everything you do at home, in the community, and at our schools to help our children learn and grow into loving, respectful, intelligent, successful, and responsible citizens!  Children are our future!
