Wendy Anderson, Board Vice President
Mrs. Anderson graduated from Woodridge High School and attended both Cleveland State University and Akron University. Her background is in banking, student lending, and sales and marketing. She and her husband married in 1985 and moved to Middlefield in 1991. They have 6 children (4 of which are Cardinal Alumni and 1 who will be a 2016 graduate) and 2 grandchildren. After years as a stay-at-home mom, Mrs. Anderson is currently employed part time at Maggie’s Doughnuts in Middlefield.
Mrs. Anderson chose to home school her children for 10 years, both in home and online before they entered Cardinal Schools. Since coming to the District, Mrs. Anderson has been involved in Music Boosters, Athletic Boosters, PTO, and creating the District’s Soccer program. She has also served as a Den Leader, Cubmaster and Program/Camp Director for Geauga County Daycamp for BSA. She is currently a 4H advisor and was recently elected as a Senior Fair Board Director from Parkman.
The Anderson family has attended Parkside Church in Bainbridge for the last 29 years where Mrs. Anderson has served as a Nursery Coordinator, funeral dinner coordinator and the current baby’s meals coordinator for eastern Geauga County.
Mrs. Anderson is looking forward to beginning another term on the BOE and working with all of the “wonderful people” at Cardinal. She says, “It is critical that we give our children every opportunity to thrive in our world today as they leave our schools and pursue their dreams in the workplace, military or in college. As a family, we have experienced all of this at one time or another and I am grateful for the experiences my children have had at Cardinal be it academics, music, art, athletics or a combination of any of the above.”
