NEW! Shoe Collection Contest: CMS PTO is sponsoring a shoe collection contest March 8 – April 16, 2021. Bring/send in your gently worn or new shoes. Collections will take place in homerooms. Remote students may drop off in the office with homeroom marked on the bag. The homeroom with the most shoes collected will win prizes: teacher wins a $100 Amazon gift card & one student from that class (chosen from a random drawing) will win a $50 Amazon gift card. Clean out those closets & donate to a good cause.
NEW! Summer Camp & Enrichment Programs
- Applications are now being accepted for Geauga JFS’s 2021 Summer Camp & Enrichment Program.
- This program assists parents with the fee for their child to attend camp or another enrichment activity. This program is funded solely through donations.
- Children whose families are low income are eligible to apply. Verification will be required.

CCP INFORMATIONAL MEETING: For those students and parents unable to attend the information session on January 28 we have provided a link to the presentation and the slide show here. CCP is for students currently in grades 6-11 that are interested in taking classes on campus, online or at the high school. INCLEMENT WEATHER REMINDER: As a reminder, the District Snow Line is still available to check on school closing information on days where the weather may be bad. You can reach the Snow Line by calling 440-632-0261 and selecting option 9 when prompted. The message is usually updated by 6:15 a.m.
FREE MEALS FOR ENTIRE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR: We are pleased to share with you that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has now extended its summer meal program through the end of the 2020-2021 school year. This extension will allow the Cardinal Local School District to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to each student during school days. The meals are free regardless of financial status. | INFORMATIONAL LETTER
The free meals are also allowing the district to provide meals to families for weekends too. We will provide students with a bag of breakfast items, enough for two days, when they leave for the day on Friday. Students may simply grab the breakfast bags and go – no need to sign up to participate.

Applications for Free/Reduced meals may be completed at any time throughout the school year. A new application is required every year.
